The powerhouse digestive smoothie recipe to improve gut health

By Zinzino

Stomach bloat. It’s frustrating, embarrassing and often-times downright unfathomable. Is it the food you’re eating, stress, too much coffee, not enough of something else…? You can’t put your finger on it.

Before you jump to conclusions and label it as a gluten problem, make this smoothie for digestion part of your morning routine. If you’re experiencing any of the issues below, this is the remedy for you.

  • Struggling to fit into your jeans at the end of the day (for no good reason)
  • Having difficulties going to the bathroom regularly
  • Stomach pain and just overall ‘blek’ feeling, post-meal

The digestive smoothie for a healthy gut

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your milk of choice)
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 scoops of ZinoBiotic+.

Blend it well, pour into a glass and sprinkle with chia seeds that are high in fiber and ‘feed’ the gut flora.

Among the ingredients of this smoothie for digestive health, bananas are high in potassium and magnesium, which help to settle the digestive system. Raspberries offer fiber and water levels that support a healthy digestive tract (and fight constipation), while avocados are nutrient dense and low fructose, meaning it’s less likely to cause gas.

A fermented food, Greek yogurt is a staple for gut support. With plenty of probiotic cultures, it makes for a digestive smoothie that strengthens the digestive tract by increasing the ‘good bacteria.’ And ginger, the food that features in many remedies, is a natural antimicrobial. In other words, ginger helps create an environment that’s conducive for good bugs.

For this powerhouse smoothie, avoid adding any artificial sweeteners, as they’re known to upset the stomach. Have a library of ‘yes’ foods at your disposal that you can play with and recreate this smoothie for an upset stomach. Ingredients like dark chocolate, honey, kombucha, pears, apples, carrots, beetroots, and oats. To soothe your gut, aim for foods with high fiber. Fibers contribute to a feeling of fullness in the stomach (which can help with appetite control), but at the same time they reduce bloating.

It tastes so good, you’ll forget the smoothie is made for your digestion

Enjoy these superfoods in a stomach-settling drink, supercharged with ZinoBiotic+. This is an all-natural dietary fiber blend that promotes digestive health by supporting the growth of healthy bacteria.* The eight natural, dietary fibers are created to time-release metabolize in the large intestine, supporting the growth of healthy bacteria.*

Eat nutritiously, get this smoothie into your daily routine and ‘feed’ your gut well. Cheers to that! Click here for more great recipe ideas.
