Sweden's Zinzino is improving its foothold in Europe – with the establishment of operations in Germany
Zinzino AB (publ), one of the world's leading direct sales companies in functional food and coffee, continues to grow throughout Europe and is now establishing operations in Germany – Europe's largest direct sales market.
– Germany will be an extremely important market for us. It is the largest market in Europe and our establishment will strengthen our position in the continent, says Dag Bergheim Pettersen, CEO of Zinzino AB.
Zinzino has experienced rapid geographical growth concentrating on Europe and North America. At the end of 2015, Zinzino began operations in Canada following a successful period on the US market. The company has directed its focus towards preparing the business for its continued advancement, allying geographical expansion with product development. The acquisitions of Faun Pharma AS and BioActive Foods AS means that Zinzino now controls the entire chain from research and development to production and analysis. This results in lower costs and greater control, which creates positive synergies throughout the entire chain up to the end consumer.
– This preparatory work has been key to enabling our expansion. As we enter into one of Europe's largest countries, we need to have the strength and systems to cope, and I have no doubts that we now have these in place. At the same time, it is important for us to continuously be able to offer new and improved products to our customers. Germany is Europe's major direct sales market, and consumers are accustomed to this method of selling. Germans also have significant purchasing power and a keen interest in health, so I believe that they will quickly come to understand our products, states Dag Bergheim Pettersen.
During the next three to five years, Zinzino anticipates that Germany will become its largest market in Europe.
– We already have more than a hundred meetings with potential partners planned and are truly looking forward to putting our energy into the German market and continuing our expansion in Europe. Rapid geographical expansion is fully in line with Zinzino's growth strategy. Expansion, together with a focus on increasing customer numbers on existing markets, will provide Zinzino with the foundation to achieve its vision of having a million customers across the globe by the year 2020, says Dag Bergheim Pettersen.
