The Vegan Society – Our Products are Vegan-Friendly

The Vegan Society was founded in 1944 as a body that advocated a vegan diet and lifestyle. And, while you might find it surprising, the vegan diet has been around for centuries – with evidence dating back over 2,000 years.

What’s a vegan, today? What are vegan products? Modern veganism is what our society is familiar with. 75 years on, The Vegan Society is a combination of staff, ambassadors, council of trustees, and partners. For the general public, it’s not always easy to differentiate between vegan and non-vegan goods. This is where The Vegan Society definition comes in. It’s why the society launched the Vegan Trademark.

The vegan symbol on food and products is used across the world as an ethical marker of the products that are free from animal ingredients and testing. The Vegan Society promotes these products in their initiatives, from trade shows and events to apps and resources. They also have strict vegan labeling requirements for using the trademark.

BalanceOil+ Vegan

BalanceOil+ Vegan is a great place to start as it can supplement missed essential nutrients in your diet, such as Omega-3’s and Vitamin D. It’s vegan, keto-friendly, no-GMO, and only uses natural ingredients. The product exists as a natural flavored version and with a new lemon flavor.

The ingredients are a unique blend of micro-algae oil that’s high in Omega-3’s, such as EPA, DHA and DPA, plus pre-harvest olive oil, echium seed oil, and vegan Vitamin D3. The blend is high in antioxidants (tocopherol-rich extract).

BalanceOil+ Vegan is pure, free of toxins, and is a great bio-alternative to traditional fish oils.

1. DHA and EPA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure

Il DHA e l’EPA contribuiscono al mantenimento di una normale pressione sanguigna. Questa indicazione può essere impiegata solo per un alimento che fornisce un apporto giornaliero di 3 g di EPA e di DHA. L’indicazione va accompagnata dall’informazione al consumatore che l’effetto benefico si ottiene con l’assunzione giornaliera di 3 g di EPA e di DHA. Il consumatore va inoltre informato di non superare il livello di assunzione giornaliera supplementare di 5 g di combinazioni di EPA e di DHA allorché l’indicazione è utilizzata per integratori alimentari e/o alimenti arricchiti.

2. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision

Il DHA contribuisce al mantenimento della capacità visiva normale. Questa indicazione può essere impiegata solo per un alimento che contiene almeno 40 mg di DHA per 100 g e per 100 kcal. L’indicazione va accompagnata dall’informazione al consumatore che l’effetto benefico si ottiene con l’assunzione giornaliera di 250 mg di DHA. L’assunzione di acido docosaesaenoico (DHA) contribuisce al normale sviluppo delle capacità visive dei lattanti fino a 12 mesi. Il consumatore va informato del fatto che l’effetto benefico si ottiene con l’assunzione quotidiana di 100 mg di DHA. Se l’indicazione è usata per alimenti di proseguimento, l’alimento deve contenere almeno lo 0,3 % degli acidi grassi totali sotto forma di DHA.

3. Vitamin D contributes to immune system

La vitamina D contribuisce alla normale funzione del sistema immunitario. Questa indicazione può essere impiegata solo per un alimento che è almeno una fonte di vitamina D come specificato nell’indicazione FONTE DI vitamina D di cui all’allegato del regolamento (CE) n. 1924/2006.

4. Beta glucans blood cholesterol levels

I beta-glucani contribuiscono al mantenimento di livelli normali di colesterolo nel sangue. Questa indicazione può essere impiegata solo per un alimento che contiene almeno 1 g di beta-glucani da avena, crusca d’avena, orzo o crusca d’orzo o da miscele di tali fonti per porzione quantificata. L’indicazione va accompagnata dall’informazione al consumatore che l’effetto benefico si ottiene con l’assunzione giornaliera di 3 g di beta-glucani da avena, crusca d’avena, orzo o crusca d’orzo o da miscele di tali beta-glucani.

5. Replacing digestible starches

La sostituzione di amidi digeribili con amido resistente in un pasto contribuisce alla riduzione dell’aumento del glucosio ematico post-prandiale.
