Spirulina Maxima: The Source of Phycocyanin
Spirulina is a freshwater microalga from the cyanobacteria family, known for centuries as one of the richest sources of nutrients and micronutrients that nature has to offer, including vitamins A, K, and iron. At Xelliss, we use, a specific strain known for its higher protein and phycocyanin content compared to other common varieties like Spirulina platensis.

Spirulina, a freshwater microalga, thrives in harsh environments, where it produces a range of antioxidant compounds to protect itself. One of these compounds, phycocyanin, is a vibrant

Our PhycoSci X14® harnesses the power of a strain naturally rich in phycocyanin, yielding 20%-30% higher phycocyanin content (17%-18% vs. 14%). Through Xelliss’s unique, water-based, solvent-free extraction process, we maximize the concentration of phycocyanin in PhycoSci X14®, offering a potent, high-quality source of this valuable phytonutrient.

Phycocyanin has been studied globally for over 40 years. PhycoSci X14® leverages this science with a high concentration of phycocyanin, known for its antioxidant properties in the plant.
Photobioreactor Cultivation
Our spirulina is grown in closed photobioreactors, ensuring a pure, uncontaminated product rich in phycocyanin. This controlled system has a small carbon footprint and uses natural resources effectively.
EPNA Extraction
We employ a unique natural process called EPNA (Extraction of Phyco Native Active) to extract phycocyanin from freshly grown A3 spirulina. This water-based, solvent-free process preserves the quality of the phycocyanin:
• Extraction occurs on-site immediately after harvesting
• No heat or drying is used, in order to maintain the integrity of the microalgae
• Fresh mountain water, purified through reverse osmosis.

Recommended daily dosage:
Pour 8 ml per day into a glass of water, using the dispenser provided for measure. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. A dietary supplement should not replace a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

Storage:
